Anyone who has suffered from a serious stroke would know that walking could eventually end up to be a very painful experience, and some might even deem it to be impossible.

Donna Jang of California suffered a stroke in 1992.For 20 years, she had been severely limited in her mobility and could only walk one city block at a time. Now Donna has managed to recover to such an extent that she is even involved in ballroom dancing today, and this is not due to therapy alone, but rather, because of a new device that is known as the Kickstart Walking System.

The Kickstart Walking System happens to be a leg brace which will help folks who suffer from neurological injuries to regain their movement.

Kickstart was used  by Home and adaptive exercise therapy.

Functional gains after 15 months of Kickstart use:

• No longer uses Segway for mobility

• Endurance increase from 300 steps to 3000 steps a day

• Able to walk up and down stairs correctly, step over step

• Expanded community and recreational activities, including ballroom dancing

• Hip pain and foot edema significantly reduced

"Kickstart changed my life. Now I can walk anywhere. I can walk around the house without cane."She said .
